Isabel Marant

When I hear the name Isabel Marant I immediately think of those boots with the angular triangular heel and studded ankle cuff. They were found at the top of every magazine’s list of 'what boots to wear now' in 2009 resulting in a mammoth waiting list.

In an interview in ELLE (UK) magazine, Marant explains all her collections are designed around her, in essence, she designs clothes that she wants to wear, clothes that every woman wants to wear, and most importantly, comfortable clothes. Interestingly, her work isn’t inspired by films or art work like a lot of other designers Instead, she uses the styles of individuals (Alexa Chung’s personal style is a key muse for her Spring/Summer 2011 collection).
